Welcome To Year 2 / Croeso i Blwyddyn Dau
We love making the most of the dry weather and have spent lots of time outdoors in the last week. We enjoyed making dens and practising the time.

We really enjoyed doing a science investigation last week. We investigated where an ice cube would melt the fastest. We made predictions about whether it would be on the radiator, by the window, outside or by the laptop. We found out that it melted most quickly on the radiator and least quickly outside. We were very careful to make sure that we made it a fair test. PC Ellis visited us to help us learn about dangerous substances. We found out lots of important information and came away with a very clear message. If we ever find something that we don't know what it is then we must 'tell, don't touch!' Welsh week proved very busy, starting with our annual Eidteddfod. The class made wonderful love spoons for their class competition. The winners were Ella H, Ella F, Grace, Max and Mabel, well done to everyone! The children really enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year through their literacy and numeracy lessons. They completed lots of other activities including construction, ICT and arts and crafts. |
